New Stained Glass

At Norgrove we are pleased to offer designs for newly commissioned stained glass windows. These are designed, painted and fired completely within our own workshops, for installation by our own workforce.

Only traditional methods are used, although our designs are bespoke and varied. No one window is the same, each designed to satisfy both our clients and ourselves.

We use handmade mouthblown glasses, with life and vitality, pot metals, flashed glasses, pale colours and tints of white.

Our glasses are primarily English and French, though we also use other European glasses.

The lead used is English.

Metalwork - we can fabricate supporting armatures for glass in bronze, brass and stainless steel

New stained glass panels can be fitted to timber frames fabricated by others, with traditional putties, copper nails, and lead or copper ties to supporting ferramenta

Panels can be fitted to stone or brick reveals, and pointed with traditional slaked lime mortars, and pozzalanic additives, if specified, by ourselves.

We are a small firm, comprising six tradesmen, of whom three are glass painters, with the flexibility and specialist knowledge to provide both the product and service necessary.
